Alexander McQueen was found dead on Thursday. He was a mastermind when it came to fashion. His fashion was far from anyone else. He had an eye for decrepit and beauty. It seems we all forget the condition designers work: stress, stress and more stress. The competition and pressure is unreal.
Twisted and creative,
through the eye of a needle,
he challenged himself,
he challenged others.
His debut, his fail,
his going with and against the rail,
he fell hard,
thank godness,
for that's how he left a mark.

okay. i came across My Horizontal Life in a used book store. i'm not sure what drew me to it. maybe it was the cover: a mis-matched collection of photos. or maybe it was the author's name: "hmmm same name as mine, must be a good read... "
i am a slow reader. i'm talking months people. so, my point is, i couldn't put it down. she is a hilarious author and her writing is amazing.
not to mention she is hilarious on t.v (you-tube jay leno).
i am almost done her second book, Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. i like it just as much, if not more then the first. she writes about her past experiences with friends, boyfriends, dogs, vacations, you name it.
it's an easy read that will make you laugh out loud, promise. go get the books, you'll love them.

What's hot for twenty-ten? D-Squared.
Versace's spring 2010 show also displayed bright colours. This is not the year for beiges or neutrals.
Statement jewlery has carried right through to the new year. Necklaces are huge and are worn to be seen, often making a casual t-shirt formal.
D&G turned the runway western with their denim sported models. Short hems and tailored tops made the clothes perfect.
Pucci and Just Cavalli created beautiful dresses. The creaters must have shared the common interest of short hemlines. Eh, the shorter the better I think.
Now, as for D-Squared, Dean and Dan know what is hot and definatly know how to make layers sizzle.
The mix-matched outfits create an "i dont care look" that looks like an outdoorsy glamazon. Trucker hats, side messy braids, shimmery dresses, and leather jackets to name a few peices.
What else? Chic reading glasses are suprising IN this year. A tricky style to pull off, this trend was seen on the catwalk.
